Use a Stripe card reader with your Squarespace store

Not inside Squarespace's app: its point of sale pairs only Square's reader, in the US. With Payment for Stripe you can use a Stripe card reader on the same Stripe account your Squarespace store uses, and payments show up in your Stripe Dashboard next to your online orders.

No. Payment for Stripe connects to a Stripe account you can sign in to. It works when your Squarespace store takes payments through your own Stripe account. Squarespace Payments is a separate processor, so there's no Stripe account of yours for the app to use.

Stripe lets only one platform control a Stripe account. If another platform controls yours, Stripe asks you to create a separate account when you sign in. You can create it under the same Stripe login and reuse your business details. In-person sales then land in that account, apart from your Squarespace sales.

No. Sales in Payment for Stripe don't create Squarespace orders or change your stock. Squarespace's own app does that for its Tap to Pay sales.
